Bellevue University on Wednesday continues its support of Air Force Week in the Heartland by hosting the surgeon general of the United States Air Force, Lt. Gen. (Dr.) James G. Roudebush, for coffee and a briefing inside the Hitchcock Humanities Center.
Bellevue Medical Center is coordinating Roudebush’s campus visit, which is 9:30-10:45 a.m.
As the Air Force surgeon general, Roudebush advises the secretary of the Air Force and Air Force chief of staff, as well as the assistant secretary of defense for health affairs, on all medical aspects and the health of Air Force personnel. He oversees more than 43,100 people assigned to 75 medical facilities worldwide.
Roudebush’s visit is one of many Air Force Week events either hosted or sponsored by Bellevue University, capped off by a campus visit Friday morning by the Air Force Chief of Staff, Gen. Norton Schwartz.
