Bellevue University on Monday, Feb. 16 will host “Your Degree in Three: The New Way to Learn Academy,” a free informational event intended for high school juniors and seniors, parents and guardians, and high school counselors.
The event begins at 11:30 a.m., inside the Margre H. Durham Student Center on the university’s main campus, 1000 Galvin Road South in Bellevue. Registration begins at 11 a.m. The event will include five breakout sessions about the university’s “New Way to Learn” majors, which combine in-class and online learning with access to career and education planning. Students can complete these “New Way to Learn” majors – which include business, graphic design and sports management – in as little as three years.
Attendees also will hear from current and former Bellevue University students, financial aid and admissions counselors, and representatives from student clubs and athletic teams. Representatives from the university’s Career Services Department also will speak about how to choose the right major and how majors translate into careers. There also will be free lunch served.
